MetaMask has added access to more than 200 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs through a new integration with Ondo Finance. The move allows users to trade traditional assets directly within the MetaMask wallet without needing a broker.
The integration supports eligible mobile users in certain regions, giving them access to tokenized equities, exchange-traded funds, and commodity-linked products. Users can hold and transfer these assets alongside cryptocurrencies in a self-custodial setting.
Major U.S. stocks available through the integration include Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Amazon. Tokenized ETFs such as IWM and QQQ are also supported. Additionally, users can access commodity-linked products including gold, silver, copper, and rare earth metals.
Ondo Global Markets, the platform behind the tokenized products, has grown quickly since its September 2025 launch. Its total value locked has surpassed $500 million. While minting and redemption occur during traditional market hours, the tokens can be transferred around the clock across Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain.
Ondo says the partnership reduces reliance on centralized brokers and allows users to manage both traditional and crypto assets in one place. Ian De Bode, President of Ondo Finance, said the integration introduces a new asset class to the millions of users already managing assets in MetaMask.
Joe Lubin, founder of Consensys and Ethereum co-founder, added that the move demonstrates how crypto wallets can bridge traditional finance and onchain assets without sacrificing user control.
The integration was revealed at the 2026 Ondo Summit in New York, where Ondo outlined plans to expand Global Markets to include thousands of tokenized securities. Speakers noted that tokenization could speed up settlements, reduce costs, and allow markets to operate for longer hours.
Market observers say the MetaMask partnership represents a key step toward broader adoption of tokenized assets, especially among retail users who already rely on self-custodial wallets for crypto and DeFi activities.
