US online gambling company FanDuel is set to enter the crypto prediction market next month, partnering with derivatives marketplace CME Group to offer a new platform for event-based contracts.
The platform, called FanDuel Predicts, will allow users to place bets on the outcomes of cryptocurrency prices, sports events, and economic indicators such as oil, gas, and gold. FanDuel plans to launch the mobile app in December.
“We can’t wait to bring FanDuel’s proven approach to product innovation into this dynamic sector,” said FanDuel CEO Amy Howe. She added that the partnership with CME Group provides deep derivatives and risk management expertise, bridging entertainment and financial markets.
Crypto prediction markets are rapidly growing. According to Crypto.com, prediction markets saw over $27.9 billion in trading volume from January to October 2025. Other companies, including Gemini, Robinhood, and established platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket, are also entering the space.
Polymarket recently partnered with Yahoo Finance, becoming its exclusive crypto prediction market provider. The collaboration will provide real-time insights from Polymarket’s betting data to Yahoo Finance users.
Industry experts note that sustainable integration of prediction markets requires balancing innovation with responsibility. James Newman, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Chiliz, said, “Sustainable integration means creating an ecosystem where fans are empowered as stakeholders, not just spectators.”
